    Darren Hopkins

    Darren specialises in advising businesses on both proactive and reactive uses of technology in the areas of cybersecurity, privacy, digital forensics and technology-led investigations.

    Darren is a highly respected, qualified investigator and forensic technology expert with more than 25 years of specialist forensic experience and more than five years as a foundation member of the Forensic Computer Examination Unit with the Queensland Police. Held in high regard by attorneys and the courts, he has undertaken complex computer forensic examinations for both criminal and civil litigation in Australia and overseas.

    He works regularly with boards, executives and senior business leaders in organisations of every size to consider and set technology strategies for cyber, privacy, data protection and information risk management. His extensive experience spans across a wide range of industries, including business services, construction, entertainment, financial services, government, healthcare, insurance, leisure, manufacturing, retail and technology. He also regularly applies his digital forensic and investigative expertise to help resolve time- critical and highly sensitive issues as they arise. These matters range from large-scale data breaches or theft, through to employee misconduct or intellectual property matters.

    Lani is a long-time technologist specialising in the area of business technology and management consulting, amassing over 23 years experience with expertise in emerging technology adoption - IoT & A.I, cybersecurity, startups and building and leading highly successful teams.  He is currently Regional Director ANZ at Claroty and is also a Founding Partner at Azcende VC, an emerging Venture Capital firm specialising in Critical Infrastructure and National Security.  In 2017 Lani co-founded IoTSec Australia, an industry led advocacy group to promote secure practices in the IoT ecosystem and currently serves as its Chief Information Security Officer.

    Meet Nerida Conisbee

    Nerida is Ray White’s chief economist and one of Australia’s leading property experts. She provides market commentary to a wide range of Australian media outlets across digital, print, television and radio. She also contributes to Ray White’s publications including Ray White Now.

    Nerida is the Deputy Chair of the Construction Forecasting Council and is on the South East Queensland Housing Supply Expert Panel. She sits on the board of Kidnest, a childcare start up and is an adviser to Skelton Projects, a Melbourne based developer. She also provides updates on property market conditions to major Government bodies.

    Nerida has more than 20 years of property research experience throughout Asia Pacific and has held senior positions within commercial agencies and major consulting firms during this time. Her experience covers residential and commercial property from both an investor and occupier’s perspective.

    Nerida holds a Bachelor of Commerce with Honours and Masters of Commerce, majoring in Econometrics, from the University of Melbourne.

    In 2015, as Assistant Minister for Innovation Wyatt Roy co-led an amazing Trade Mission to Israel. Joined by over 50 delegates representing business & government from across Australia, Wyatt & Marita Cheng represented two of our youngest ever delegation leaders. 

    In 2023, Wyatt, now in private enterprise, will return to Israel to investigate the changes in the Israel Innovation landscape in the past seven years, including the global effects of COVID-19, the advancement of Australia’s innovation agenda, and how technological and digital disruption are reshaping the start up and cross industry ecosystems.

    As a former Queensland Minister for Innovation, Tourism and Industry Development, Kate Jones has always been a keen advocate for innovation as a driver of change, upskilling and industry advancement. In her role as QLD Minister. Kate oversaw the investment of over $300 million in key innovation initiatives with Advance Queensland. As Minister for the 2018, 21st Commonwealth Games, Kate is keen to explore Israel’s Sports Technology and E-Sports innovation community, especially as Brisbane prepares for the 2032 Olympic & Para Olympic Games as host city.
